Hospital Attorney: Doctor, can you descript what your …diagnosis?

Dr. Huffman: Sure. I believe Ms. Li suffered delusional disorder related to her perception of being discriminated both in past by her employer Raytheon and therefore by US court system and they have declined her case for proper national and sexual discrimination…

Hospital Attorney: and Your diagnosis?

Dr. Huffman: Delusional disorder.

Li’s Attorney: Dr. Huffman, …, you consider Yong Li to be intelligent person?             Dr. Huffman: Yes.            Li’s Attorney: She offered logic in her reasoning?

Dr. Huffman: she has demonstrated that she can discuss sort of concrete facts. However, she is difficult applying those facts on her situation.             Li’s Attorney: then she has not yet considered that she has delusional disorder?

Dr. Huffman: Yes.            Attorney: has she considered she has posttraumatic stress disorder.            Dr. Huffman: she said she has currently symptom of posttraumatic stress disorder.

00:20:00

Li’s Attorney: for the second argument, …, if she is medicated, if her believe system likely change?            Dr. Huffman: Yes, it certainly for my experiences, yes.

Li’s Attorney: and the fundamental believe system?            Dr. Huffman: oh, the delusion, yes.

Li’s Attorney:  is it possible that the medicine will not make the delusion go away?            Dr. Huffman: is it possible? Yes, sure.

00:40:00

Li’s Attorney: Do you find it’s true that this argument consistently offered because she can’t admit mental illness, she’s mental illness? Because she can’t admit mental illness, she’s not capable to make judgment or treatment?            Dr. Dumon: …, I must say it is a classic example of catch-22 situation. If you deny that you are mental illness, you are therefore mental illness, if you deny that you are incompetent, you are therefore incompetent. I found that this is objectionable on humanistic ground and psychiatric ground.
